Hi everyone.  Today I want to talk about something different than usual.  (Don’t worry, Jocelyn will still post a recipe sometime this weekend, you’re not getting shorted your specialty cooking goodness.)

From time to time I’ve mentioned my good friend Ginny, without whose help, support, and general awesomeness many of these recipes would not exist.  She’s been a huge part of my life for years and I can’t imagine the world without her in it.  She’s a hardworking, thoroughly decent, helpful, kind, considerate person, and on Tuesday she’s going to have a badly needed surgery that, not to put too fine a point on it, she can’t afford.  I won’t go into all the details here, since you can read about them on this site, where we’re trying to raise funds to pay for Ginny’s surgery.

Please, if you can help in any way, even if it’s only with prayers, help her however you can.  Every little bit is badly needed, and greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much for anything you can do.
